Sour Cream Cake

Another recipe from my mother-in-law, Ivadean Gibson. Once, when we first married, Gary wanted me to make this for him, and me being the smart-aleck that I used to be said he could make it himself. So he did!
Cream:
1 C butter

 3 C sugar
Add 6 egg yolks.
Alternately, add:
3 C flour with
1/2 tsp soda
1 C sour cream
Beat egg whites til fluffy, fold into mixture.
Bake 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours in bundt pan or 30-45 minutes
in 3 layers.
